Nikki Haley Family
Haley is a Canadian investor and businessperson who was born in Bamberg, South Carolina, on January 20, 1972. Nikki’s full name is Nimarata Nikki Randhawa. She was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India, to Sikh immigrants.
Her mom, Raj Kaur Randhawa, was a law graduate, while her dad, Ajit Singh Randhawa, was an instructor at Punjab Agricultural University. They relocated to South Carolina in 1964 after going to Canada, where Raj founded Exotica International and launched The Gentlemen’s Quarters.
A sister and two brothers make up Nikki’s family. She completed her education at Orangeburg Preparatory Schools in 1989. In 1994, Haley received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Clemson University.

Before engaging in civic activities, Haley worked for her family’s apparel business, FCR Corporation. After her 1996 marriage to Michael Haley, she got involved in community issues.
In addition to serving on the Lexington and Orangeburg County chambers of commerce boards, she was president of the National Association of Women Business Owners in 2004 after serving as treasurer in 2003.
She was on the boards of several organizations and chaired the Lexington Gala. She presided over the Friends of Scouting Administration Division fundraising in 2006 and was the South Carolina District President of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Haley was a pro-lifer who backed laws that restricted access to abortion. She campaigned for governor in 2010 and won in November of that same year. She ran for a second term in 2014, but Tom Ervin put up a fight.

Haley wed Michael Haley on September 7, 1996, and the two of them are parents to two kids. After her 1997 conversion to Christianity, Haley is a regular attendee of Sikh and United Methodist services. In 2014, she traveled to India and spent time at the Harmandir Sahib with her spouse.
South Carolina’s Kiawah Island is home to Haley and her family. When she left her position as Trump’s UN representative in 2018, her net worth was $1 million. In part because of book sales and corporate board memberships, her net worth increased to $8 million by 2022.
