As the World Athletics Awards 2023 get near, the World Athletics published the names of five finalists for the Men’s World Athlete of the Year award on Tuesday. Neeraj Chopra is vying for World Athlete of the Year 2023.

World Athlete of the Year 2023 Winners Prizes
At this year’s World Athletics Championships, athletes who break world records could win $100,000 (£78.5 million/€92 million), thanks to the continued support of Japanese electronics company TDK.

World Athletics Awards 2023 Date
As part of the World Athletics Awards 2023, the World Athletes of the Year will be revealed on World Athletics’ platforms on December 11.
During the annual World Athletics Awards, one lucky participant and a partner will win a once-in-a-lifetime VIP trip to Monaco.
The fan VIP trip winners will have the opportunity to spend three nights in Monaco (9–11 December) and interact with the top athletes of 2023. All flights, lodging, and evening meals are covered.
World Athletics Awards 2023 Voting
The finalists were selected by a three-way vote. While fans recorded their votes online via World Athletics social media platforms, where a record 2 million votes were registered, the World Athletics Council and the World Athletics Family submitted their ballots via email.
The polls ended on October 28.
Voting has begun for the World Athletes of the Year award for 2023. There will be a comprehensive three-way voting procedure to decide the finalists. On December 11, 2023, World Athletics will formally announce the winners on its social media channels.
