RPF Vacancy 2023

Number of vacancies for the post of Constable and Sub Inspector is not yet confirmed officially by the Railway Protection Force, it is estimated that it may be around 10,000.

Once the notification is released officially by the Railway Protection Force, vacancies details will also be activated.

RPF Eligibility Criteria 2023

Eligibility criteria for the post of Sub Inspector and Constable under the Railway Protection Force in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.

Educational Qualification:

• Sub Inspector (SI): An individual must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree from a UGC recognised institution.
• Constable: It is mandatory that an individual must have passed the Intermediate exam.

Age Limit:

• Sub Inspector (SI): The minimum and maximum age limit is 20 and 25 years, respectively.
• Constable: One’s age must not be below 18 and above 25 years.

Note: There will be an upper age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC and PWD candidates for 5, 3 and 10 years, respectively.

RPF Application Fee 2023

The application fee for the post of SI and Constable under RPF depending on the category of the candidate. General and OBC candidates are required to pay ₹500/-, while SC/ST/Female/Ex. Servicemen/EBC candidates have a reduced fee of ₹250/-.

RPF PET/PMT Details 2023

The physical details for the post of Constable and Sub Inspector include requirements for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT), get details about the same from below.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Constable 

> Male:

• 1600 metres run: 5 min 45 sec
• Long Jump: 14 feet
• High Jump: 4 feet

> Female:

• 800 metres run: 3 min 40 sec
• Long Jump: 9 feet
• High Jump: 3 feet

Sub-Inspector 

> Male:

• 1600 metres run: 6 min 30 sec
• Long Jump: 12 feet
• High Jump: 3 feet 9 inches

> Female:

• 800 metres run: 4 min
• Long Jump: 9 feet
• High Jump: 3 feet

Physical Measurement Test (PMT):

Constable & Sub Inspector 

> Height in cms (Male & Female):

• UR/OBC: 165
• SC/ST: 160
• For specified categories: 163

> Chest in cms (Male):

• UR/OBC: 80-85
• SC/ST: 76.2-81.2
